Group Logistics Coordinator (Guildford)
An opportunity has arisen to join us as a Group Logistics Coordinator based at our Mercedes-Benz of Guildford Retailer.
The Group Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the logistics of all new and used vehicles ensuring all vehicles are fully prepped and ready for sale at the earliest opportunity. Assisting a fast turnaround of stock whilst maintaining the site in optimum condition.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Control of Logistics inbox and diary
Booking of Used Car Purchase collections for buyers and advising accounts when they can make payment
Liaising with Corporate Department to book deliveries – ensure relevant paperwork issued to the driver and returned post delivery
Advising sites daily which vehicles will be collected the following day to ensure they are ready
Advising accounts daily which vehicles will be purchased so payment can be set up
Managing and allocating work to the drivers and providing regular updates
Arranging regular training meetings with drivers
Booking delivery trucks in for 8 weekly planned maintenance inspection (PMI)
Reviewing drivers Daily Check Lists and booking repairs if necessary before PMI date
Attending monthly meetings with JCS Transport Consultancy
Ensuring Operator licence is kept up to date and current
Overseeing BCA auction collections.
Working with service departments to ease preparation of used cars
Work with the Sales Department to maximise all sales opportunities.
Assist with Sales Audits
Ensure Company HR policies is followed.
Applicants will be expected to be immaculately attired as is befitting the Mercedes brand and must hold a full Driving Licence.
Experience in a similar role within the Motor Industry is desirable.
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday: 08:30 – 18:00 with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.
