Tyre Fitter

We are looking for a Tyre Fitter to join us at Mercedes-Benz of Guildford.  The main purpose of the role is to provide an efficient and professional service, ensuring that we are prepared to supply and fit tyres as and when required. You will have previous experience of working in a fast paced environment and take pride in completing work on time to the satisfaction of the customer.  You will promote the Mercedes-Benz brand image through reliable and cost-efficient work. Relevant NVQ qualifications are preferable.

Main Duties:

• Inspect tyres and related components in accordance with Company standards

• Repair / Replace tyres

• Balance tyres and wheels

• Identify faults in vehicle stability and tyre wear

• Checking and servicing the steering system and suspension, identifying and interpreting tyre and rim regulations, making adjustments, completing post-alignment checks and road testing

• Liaise with Service Team Manager regarding road worthiness of customer’s vehicles.

• Contribute to good housekeeping routines

• Place goods and materials in storage and participate in stock routines as directed

• Applicants must hold a full Driving Licence.

Essential Skills Required                                              

• Experience of working for an automotive retailer, preferably within main dealer

• Experience of working as a Tyre Fitter

• High level of attention to detail

• Ability to work as part of a team

• Good level of communication.

Working hours:

Monday - Friday: 8:00 - 17:00 with a 1 hour unpaid break.

40 hours per week.
