We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Human Resources Administrator to join us for 6 months on a part- time basis. You will be working within a friendly, forward thinking Human Resources department in a team of six. The Human Resources Administrator will assist with supporting the 450 plus employees across Sandown's 9 sites. We are a very busy department and the successful Human Resources Administrator is a critical part of our team. The role will be varied and fast paced and previous experience of Human Resources administration and Human Resources systems is essential. Our offices are located in Poole on the Newfields Industrial Estate.

Main Purpose of the Position

Providing Human Resources administrative support by assisting in the day-to-day operational work of the Human Resources Department, which will involve liaising with members of staff across the organisation. To co-ordinate, facilitate and assist in the delivery of the Company Induction.  

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain accurate Human Resources records and employee files.
  • Support Human Resources team with general HR administration.
  • Obtain references for new employees.
  • To maintain and update the Mitre finch system. Administration including setting up of new starters, set up on TMS, removal of leavers and scanning in of all new starter paperwork.
  • Assist the Training Co-ordinator with   booking of courses, hotels and administering the training portals.
  • Act as an administrator for new and ongoing HR projects.
  • Assist with the distribution of policies and communications. Accurate record keeping of issuing and receipt.
  • To assist in the preparation and issuing of appropriate documentation in association to employment offer and the processing of leavers.
  • Assist with preparation for Induction and training courses.
  • To attend and assist with the delivery of Company Induction.
  • Assist with all aspects of health and safety responsibilities within the HR department – this includes maintaining H+S records and attending meetings.
  • To prepare regular management information reports to support continuous improvement in the management and monitoring of HR KPI’s.
  • Carryout any photocopying, scanning or filing as required.
  • Minute taking & writing up of minutes.
  • Interact with employees at different levels of the organisation.
  • Ensure compliance with the General Data Protection Act as necessary.
  • To support the development of all colleagues in conjunction with MBUK Training Resources.
  • To encourage effective two way communications between colleagues and the business

Experience Required

  • Previous experience working in a busy Human Resources Department is essential.
  • Experience presenting to small groups of people.
  • Experience working with an HR T&A system.

The hours of work are between 18 - 20 hours per week across 3 /4 days a week Monday to Friday ( Friday must be one of the days) Start and finish time can be flexible as can days worked.
