The third generation of the Mercedes-Benz has been spotted for the first time ahead of its 2018 launch. First pictures suggest that there are some pretty big changes on the way for the four-door coupe.
Although the exterior of the model was heavily disguised we can already see and predict some of the changes that have been made, The new 2018 model will showcase slimmer LED headlamps and grille and the long bonnet slopes into a flatter front end than the current model. Heading to the rear of the vehicle it seems that the boot sits flat and sticks out rather than following a smooth line. These are just potential changes, the masks hiding the main body of the new model quite well. However the spy shots show one very obvious change, the taillights. From the pictures seen it seems they follow a similar style to those on the S-Class coupe.
The first generation Mercedes-Benz CLS was launched in 2005 and stood out among rivals due to it’s sleek and stylish body and a 2 2 seating layout. The current Mercedes-Benz CLS may even get a name change when the new model comes out in 2018, with hints at it becoming the CLE. It was last given a facelift in 2014, so there is a lot of excitement surrounding how the 2018 model will look.
There has been no official word as to what exactly will be under the bonnet but as far as we know the model will have an official launch sometime in 2017, so we will just have to contain our excitement till then when we will be able to share the official specifications of the new Mercedes-Benz CLS.
