smart has officially announced the #5 – joining the smart #1 and #3 as the third electric SUV in the brand's line-up.

This premium vehicle boasts advanced electric technology, driver assistance features, and a sophisticated interior. With the #5, smart expands its range to cater to even more customer preferences globally.

smart’s Most Versatile Vehicle to Date 

The smart #5 maintains the brand's signature style with its panoramic roof, frameless doors, and compact overhangs. With a wheelbase of 2,900 mm and an overall length of 4,705 mm, it offers a spacious interior.

Distinctive headlights and the smart emblem on the D-pillar add to its unique look. Two-tone mirrors and floating wheel caps with the central smart logo further enhance its premium feel.

The Summit Edition, part of the Adventurers' Collection, takes the #5 to the next level. This package includes features like a roof light bar, an electric trailer hitch, underbody protection, a roof carrier, side steps, a side bag, and a side ladder, combining luxury with practicality for outdoor adventures.

Technically Sophisticated Interior for Even More Premium Character 

The smart #5 boasts a luxurious and technologically advanced interior. Its zero-gravity seats, which recline to 121 degrees and feature leather upholstery and advanced safety features, are a standout. In the rear, passengers enjoy heated leather seats with ample headroom, adjustable backrests, an electric sunshade, and airplane-style reading lights. The "First Class" setting, and one-touch comfort mode provide extra legroom.

Premium touches like oak wood trim and curved design elements add to the upscale feel. The interior also features ambient lighting with 256 colours and the ability to configure the seats into various sleeping configurations. For entertainment, a built-in projector and Sennheiser Signature Sound System with 20 speakers deliver an immersive audio-visual experience. A portable speaker with ambient lighting adds to the ambiance.

Practicality meets luxury with 34 storage compartments, a 72-litre front trunk, and a spacious cargo area of up to 1,530 litres.

State-of-the-art Technology and an Intelligent Cockpit Experience 

The smart #5's interior features a modern, user-friendly interface. A 25.6-inch augmented reality head-up display, a 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and two 13-inch touchscreen displays provide a comprehensive view of vehicle information. The advanced AI voice assistant understands natural language and answers a wide range of questions.

With smart's intelligent avatars, you can control various functions using voice commands, including phone calls, music, climate settings, navigation, and more. The new lion avatar, Leo, guides you through the system.

Impressive Performance and Range

The 800-volt platform in the smart #5 enables rapid charging and long-range capabilities. The 100 kWh battery can charge up to 70% in just 15 minutes. With a range of over 740 kilometres, you can travel long distances without worry. A 220V power outlet in the trunk allows you to use the vehicle as a power source.

The smart #5 offers various driving modes, including Adaptive, Sand, Snow, Mud, and Rock, to handle different road conditions.

The all-new smart #5 will be launched and delivered in Europe at the beginning of next year.
