The C‑Class has been a familiar sight on UK roads for decades. Known for its comfort, premium feel and everyday usability, it is one of the best‑selling Mercedes‑Benz models of all time. The new electric C‑Class takes everything people recognise about the model and combines it with modern electric technology.
UK Launch Timing
UK Sales Release: May 2026
Expected Customer Deliveries: From Q3 2026
The all‑new electric Mercedes‑Benz C‑Class represents a significant step forward for one of the brand’s most trusted models. By combining familiar C‑Class comfort and premium quality with the benefits of electric driving, it offers a reassuring and accessible option for customers beginning their journey into electric vehicles. Further details will be shared as the UK launch approaches.

The electric C‑Class is a fully electric version of the traditional C‑Class saloon. It runs entirely on electricity rather than petrol or diesel, producing zero tailpipe emissions when driving.
It is built on Mercedes‑Benz’s dedicated MB.EA.M electric platform, which has been designed specifically for electric vehicles. This helps improve efficiency, interior space and overall driving comfort, especially for customers new to electric cars.

The electric C‑Class keeps the classic C‑Class shape but with a more modern, streamlined look. A distinctive illuminated front grille and star‑design headlights give it a strong electric identity.
The longer wheelbase creates more space inside the car, particularly for front passengers. A standard panoramic glass roof allows more light into the cabin, helping the interior feel open and comfortable.

At launch, the range will be led by the C 400 4MATIC electric, offering:
489 horsepower
0 to 62 mph in 4.1 seconds
Up to 472 miles (WLTP) range, UK specification to be confirmed
Using fast public charging, up to 198 miles of range can be added in around 10 minutes, making longer journeys more practical. Home charging overnight also allows the car to be ready to drive each morning.

The electric C‑Class features MB.OS, Mercedes‑Benz’s new operating system, connecting navigation, charging and driving systems into one simple interface. The latest MBUX infotainment system includes advanced voice control with Google Maps navigation, helping drivers plan journeys with confidence.

The electric C‑Class features a drag coefficient starting from 0.22, helping it cut through the air more efficiently. Improved aerodynamics play a key role in extending range and reducing energy use at motorway speeds.

The optional SKY CONTROL panoramic roof features switchable glass and 162 illuminated stars. At night, it creates a personalised ambient lighting effect inside the cabin.
