The perfect weekend came together for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport team in the Italian Grand Prix.

The weekend started off with an exceptional qualifying lap from Lewis Hamilton in torrential rain to become the all-time pole record holder (69 poles) beating Michael Schumacher's previous 68 pole record.

On race day, the Silver Arrows dominated with Valtterri Bottas moving from forth on the grid to second over the first laps and Hamilton maintaining his first place throughout the race to grab the Drivers' World Championship lead.

Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport now lead the Constructor Standings by 62 points with seven races remaining.
