The new C-Class Saloon and Estate

Mercedes-Benz have released pricing and specification details for the new C-Class Saloon and Estate – both of which are on sale now with first deliveries expected later this year. Customers will have the choice of four efficient engines ranging from C 200 to C 300, as well as four different model lines: Sport; AMG Line; AMG Line Premium and AMG Line Premium Plus. Every engine within the range now features a 48v Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) mild hybrid system; this features an energy recovery function as well as the ability to ‘glide’ with the engine switched off. This in turn boosts the vehicle’s efficiency whilst also supplying an additional 20 hp and 200 Nm to the total output.

Engine Technical Facts:

C 200

• 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine
• Output of 204 hp and 300 Nm of torque
• Saloon delivers a range of 41.5 – 44.1 combined mpg
• Estate delivers a range of 40.4 – 42.2 combined mpg

C 300 (Available as a Saloon only)

• 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine
• Output of 258 hp (with an additional 20 hp available from the ISG) and 400 Nm (with an additional 200 Nm available from the ISG)
• Delivers between 40.4 and 42.2 mpg

C 220 d

• 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine
• Output of 200 hp (with an additional 20 hp available from the ISG) and 440 Nm (with an additional 200 Nm available from the ISG)
• Saloon delivers a range of 58.9 – 61.4 combined mpg
• Estate delivers a range of 56.5 – 60.1 combined mpg

C 300 d

• 3.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine
• Output of 265 hp (with an additional 20 hp available from the ISG) and 550 Nm (with an additional 200 Nm available from the ISG)
• Saloon delivers a range of 53.3 – 55.4 combined mpg
• Estate delivers a range of 52.3 – 54.3 combined mpg

Each model line includes the latest generation Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) technology, as well as the ‘Hey Mercedes’ virtual assistant, while the AMG Line Premium offers customers the choice of features such as 19-inch AMG multi-spoke alloy wheels; KEYLESS GO comfort access; and MBUX augmented reality for navigation and Parking package with 360° camera.
