The new EQB

Get ready for electrifying adventures with all the family in the new EQB.

Mercedes-Benz have announced the second addition to its family of fully electric compact vehicles. The EQB encompasses the practicalities of the Mercedes-Benz GLB, with the environmental and cost-saving benefits of their all-electric technologies.

A third row of two additional seats offers those with a height of up to 1.65 metres a comfortable experience, as well as facilitating the fitment of child seats. UK pricing and specifications are expected to be released towards the end of the year, with first deliveries due shortly after the vehicle goes on sale. In the UK, the EQB 300 and EQB 350 will be available from launch.

Customers in Europe will have the option of models featuring both all-wheel or front-wheel drivetrains, with varying levels of power ratings – some over 200kW. Encompassing Mercedes-EQ’s trademark design aesthetics, the EQB features the typical Mercedes-EQ black panel grille with central star, as well as the distinctive continuous light strip at the front and rear of the vehicle.

Mercedes me Charge will grant EQB drivers access to what is currently the largest charging network in the world, consisting of more than 500,000 AC and DC charging stations covering 31 countries.

To make driving the EQB as efficient as impossible, it features a multitude of intelligent driving assistant systems, as well as Navigation with Electric Intelligence, which takes into account the maximum charging power and predicted duration of any possible charging stops when planning the fastest route to any destination.

The EQB will be the first all-electric production vehicle to roll off the production line at the Hungarian plant in Kecskemét, which up to now has been the home of production for the CLA and CLA Shooting Brake plug-in hybrid models.
