The new EQS.

The first all-electric luxury saloon from Mercedes-EQ, and the new flagship of the Mercedes-Benz battery electric vehicle line-up has arrived, in the form of the EQS.

The EQS is on sale now, with prices starting at £99,995 for the EQS 450+ AMG Line, and with first deliveries expected in the UK late 2021.

Equipped with a 107.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, which supports a total output of 333 hp, the EQS delivers a range of up to 453 miles (WLTP). The battery also features a 200 kW DC on-board charger which allows it to charge from 10% to 80% in 31 minute, thus delivering an extra 186 miles of range in just 15 minutes.

Internally, the EQS benefits from an MBUX Hyperscreen which encapsulates multiple displays, seamlessly merged beneath one piece of glass and creating a curved screen spanning over 141cm wide. This option is available on AMG Line Premium models and above.

With a vast range of model lines available up to and including AMG Line Premium Plus - customers can choose from options such as 20- or 21-inch alloy wheels; panoramic sunroof; heated front and rear seats; MBUX multimedia system; a 360-degree camera; Driving Assistance Package and MBUX augmented navigation.

Additionally, EQS 450+ Luxury models – up to and including Exclusive Luxury benefit from equipment levels equal to the AMG Line Premium, but with classic styling as opposed to an otherwise sportier finish. Optional extras include all new Microcloud Artico upholstery combined with ship-deck wood; 22-inch alloy wheels; electrically adjustable rear seats with massage functions and comfort rear armrest with wireless smartphone charging and Android tablet.

The full range of EQS models come with a three-year subscription to Mercedes me Charge, including a one-year subscription to IONITY with free rapid charging.
