Our Certified Technicians complete a comprehensive multi-point check of all our Approved Used vehicles prior to them appearing on our website, and again before you drive away. From its engine performance to steering and brakes, the vehicle's condition and safety are thoroughly inspected by our team of highly-trained Technicians.

  • Check if service is due within the next 3 months/3,000 miles following delivery to the customer
  • Service Due – Complete Service & Star Test
  • Service Not Due – Complete Used Car Check
  • Check for outstanding Service Measures/Recalls
  • Check if MOT is required
  • Tool kit/Locking wheel nut key/Emergency tyre kit
Approved Used Checks

Approved Used Checks

  • Service Measures & Recalls: any open service measures or recalls to be carried out
  • Star Test including mileage plausibility check and EIS key tracks, disable any keys not present: record results
  • Keys: ensure both keys are present and working
  • Lights: operation of all exterior/interior light functions, high and low beam; check hazard lights, indicators, including self-cancellation
  • Seat belt operation: seat belt operation, including inertia lock and correct buckle engagement and instrument display for rear passengers
  • Operation of horn: check operation of horn
  • Front/Rear wipers and screen washers/Headlamps: operation of windscreen/tailgate wipers and headlamp wipers, washers, adjust if necessary
  • All levels: washer bottles filled to maximum levels; all lubricants and coolants are at their specified level. Check AdBlue® levels
  • Suspension/Steering/Exhaust: carry out visual inspection of the underside of the vehicle for any damage and leaks
  • Front & Rear Brake Pads & Discs: inspect for damage and wear and record findings
  • Tyres: check and record pressure, condition and wear
  • Final Star Test if any faults were identified: record results if secondary test required.

  • Carry out Midtronics battery test
  • Carry out extensive check of all interior equipment including roof operation
  • Check paint, interior and trims for defects
  • Check brake pipes and hoses for damage and corrosion
  • Check parking brake operation and adjustment
  • Re-torque all wheel bolts
  • Road test including check of stop/start function
  • Carry out post road test Star Test and investigate any faults present.
