Guaranteed Part Exchange Tool – Terms and Conditions

Please ensure these terms and conditions are read and understood carefully before using this part exchange tool.

  1. These terms tell you the conditions for using our guaranteed part exchange tool.
  2. The term ‘Sandown Group ‘or ‘us’ or ‘we’ refers to the owner of the website whose registered office is Sandown Dorset & Wiltshire, Mercedes-Benz of Poole, Holes Bay Road, Poole, Dorset, BH15 2BD. Our company registration number is 2866474. The term ‘you’ refers to the user or viewer of our website.
  3. By using our tool, you confirm that you accept these terms of use and that you agree to comply with them.
  4. You agree that all information that you submit in relation to your car is accurate and correct and is in no way false or misleading. Should any information later transpire to be false, misleading or inaccurate in any way, the valuation provided will be null and void.
  5. We reserve the right to update and/or change our guaranteed part exchange tool from time to time to reflect changes to our products, our users’ needs and our business priorities.
  6. Our tool is made available to you free of charge. We do not guarantee that our tool, or any content on it, will always be available or will be provided uninterrupted. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict the availability of all or any part of our tool for business and operational reasons at any time. We will always try to give you reasonable notice of any suspension or withdrawal. You are also responsible for ensuring that all persons who access our tool through your internet connection are aware of these terms of use and other applicable terms and conditions, and that they comply with them.
  7. We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our tool, and in the material published on it. Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.
  8. The valuation estimate given by this tool is indicative only, based on the information you have input.
  9. Although we make reasonable efforts to update the information on our tool, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content on our tool is accurate, complete or up to date.
  10. In calculating the valuation estimate of the car we have made the following assumptions:
    • your car has not been categorised as an insurance total loss (C/D/S/N).
    • your car was first registered as new in the UK.
    • the car has not been used as a taxi or by a driving school or local authority.
    • the car has not been modified, either for appearance of performance.
    • the odometer reading is accurate.
    • there are no noticeable problems with the car’s steering, transmission, clutch, gearbox, suspension or brakes and all electrical items are functioning as expected.
    • the tyres fitted to the car meet the minimum legal standards.
  11. If any of these assumptions do not apply to your car then the valuation estimate will not be accurate. Please contact your local Retailer to obtain an accurate valuation.
  12. Vehicle valuations are provided by our partner, British Car Auctions and are based on market activity at the time of completion of the valuation. Subsequent valuations for the same car may return a different valuation.
  13. We reserve the right to amend these terms from time to time. Every time you wish to use our tool, please check these terms to ensure that you understand the terms that apply at that particular time.
  14. We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Please note that we only provide our site for domestic and private use. You agree not to use our site for any commercial or business purposes, and we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.
  15. Please note that these terms of use, their subject matter and their formation, are governed by English law. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction except that if you are a resident of Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are resident of Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.
